October 27, 2026 | TickerRoast Markets Analysis
SoFi Technologies delivered one of the strongest reports of the week on October 27, 2026: record revenue, record member growth, higher full-year guidance and, for the first time, a detailed outlook for 2027. When I look at the numbers, the engine is clear, and so are the points that still deserve scrutiny.
Lending Is Doing the Heavy Lifting
According to the earnings release filed with the SEC, adjusted net revenue rose 44% to $1.37 billion, GAAP net income reached $241 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, and adjusted EBITDA grew 70% to $470 million, a 34% margin. The Lending segment generated $807 million of adjusted revenue, up 68%, with a contribution margin of 56%.
Originations reached $16.9 billion, up 71%, including $12.6 billion of personal loans, $2.9 billion of student loans and $1.4 billion of home loans. SoFi also originated about $3.8 billion of loans for third parties through its Loan Platform Business, which added $153 million to adjusted revenue. Credit looks stable for now: the annualized personal loan charge-off rate was 2.26%, down 34 basis points from a year earlier, although the company puts its all-in rate at about 3.4% when it includes late-stage delinquent loans it sold.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Adjusted net revenue | $1.37B | +44% |
| Adjusted EBITDA | $470M | +70% |
| GAAP net income | $241M | EPS $0.18 |
| Members | 17.1M | +35% |
| Products | 26.7M | +44% |
| Total deposits | $51.3B | +$5.8B in the quarter |
Members Keep Coming, but Each Product Earns Less
SoFi added a record 1.2 million members to reach 17.1 million, and a record 2.2 million products to reach 26.7 million. Products per member rose to about 1.56 from 1.47. Financial Services revenue grew 25% to $525 million, yet revenue per product fell to about $90 from $104 a year ago. Growth is strong, but the newer products, crypto included, are monetizing less per account than the older base. The Technology Platform segment, meanwhile, saw revenue fall 24% after losing a large client, although it grew 18% excluding that client.

The 2027 Outlook Raises the Bar
For 2026, SoFi now expects adjusted net revenue of about $5.04 billion, adjusted EBITDA of about $1.66 billion and adjusted EPS of about $0.61. For 2027, it guides to about $6.4 billion of revenue, $2.24 billion of adjusted EBITDA, $1.28 billion of adjusted net income and $0.90 of adjusted EPS. CEO Anthony Noto said: “Our conviction in the opportunity ahead has never been greater.”
The return profile is the part I would keep in perspective. SoFi reports a return on tangible common equity of about 10%, and tangible book value of $7.48 per share, up 25% in a year. Those are solid figures for a growing bank, but they mean the 2027 targets depend heavily on lending volumes and on credit staying benign. Deposits of $51.3 billion give SoFi cheap funding, with a net interest margin of 6.14%, yet personal loans remain the most cyclical part of the business. The next few quarters of charge-off data will show whether the growth can continue without a rise in losses.
